JOB DESCRIPTION

The job holder performs the daily duties related to communications and to promoting the organization. They take part in distributing information, creating content for social media and organizing various events to promote the organization. They contribute to the organization’s visibility by implementing the communications strategies, ensuring the consistency of messages and making sure our design standards are applied.

At all times, they contribute to the development and maintenance of an organizational culture angled towards teamwork and client satisfaction. Under any circumstance, they act with confidentiality, discretion, respect and diplomacy.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The advisor takes part in the development of the annual communications and marketing plan under the coordinator’s supervision. They are responsible for various administrative duties relating to the management of communications and marketing.

Professional and thorough, they know that every exchange, document access or information related to the NBP (clients, employees and service providers) must stay confidential at all times. The job holder’s responsibilities will involve the RBA Foundation and various events.

SKILLS NEEDED

  • Ability to establish, foster and use a professional or social network;
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at once, plan and manage their time accordingly whilst also planning for contingencies, use the means and resources available to meet deadlines and respect established standards;
  • Ability of thoroughness to ensure the best quality of all communications and deliverables;
  • Ability to synthesize and simplify complex information in available and easily understandable content;
  • Ability to present new and original ideas to approach issues or projects with an innovative perspective;
  • Great communication skills both written and spoken to facilitate exchanges with colleagues, clients or service providers;
  • Shows tact and diplomacy through their actions and relationships and works with a professional ethic to establish trusting relationships.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

  • University degree in communications, marketing or other related fields;
  • 2 to 4 years of professional experience in communications;
  • Great knowledge of French and English to write official communications;
  • Ability to speak in both French and English to communicate with the two clienteles;
  • Good knowledge of software and technology related to communications, HTML, InDesign, Microsoft Office or others;
  • Manage social media and various online platforms.

  • The gross annual salary for this position is between $68,962 and $94,809 and varies according to the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and skills.
